Is There A Way To Reverse Osteoporosis?
Rebuilding bone density and reversing osteoporosis requires that we first stop doing those things that cause a loss in bone density.
The primary cause of loss of bone density and finally the diagnosis of osteoporosis is an acid diet. All animal source foods, whether flesh or dairy, are acidic. Refined sugar is extremely acidic as are all drugs.
In an effort to reduce all the acidity being received in these acid foods we are placing into the body,the body extracts calcium (an alkaline mineral) from the bones in an effort to neutralize that acidity. After years of consuming an acid diet, the loss of calcium to neutralize the acidity results in the bones becoming very weak and porous.
In order to reverse osteoporosis, which is possible, we must stop consuming these highly acidic foods which are causing the problem. In place of these acid foods we must begin a diet consisting of highly alkaline foods. The Hallelujah Diet is an alkalizing diet that not only stops calcium loss, but provides the calcium the bones desperately need to rebuild density.
A 100% plant-based diet rich in green foods (both raw and cooked), blended salads, green smoothies, and raw vegetable juices, are extremely powerful in reversing osteoporosis. In addition, we need to insure our vitamin D levels are optimal – 50 ng/ml or higher, which can be determined with a blood test. Without adequate vitamin D we cannot utilize the calcium found in all these green foods efficiently.
In addition, we need regular weight bearing or resistance exercises to signal the bones to draw in the calcium. Weight bearing and resistance exercises play a critical part in restoring bone density.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 26:2 that: “The curse causeless shall not come.”
In other words if we do not entertain the cause (of osteoporosis – a high acid diet), the curse (osteoporosis) will not come! This is true of almost every physical problem – eliminate the CAUSE and you will eliminate the problem. Sadly, in our society we do not deal with CAUSES but rather we treat the symptoms. Treating symptoms never results in the restoration of health!
