eXfuze Seven+ PROformance – A Superfood Multivitamin – Review and Giveaway
Posted on January 31, 2012 by Jessica

Some of you already know this about me, but I don’t really take supplements. I don’t take a multivitamin and the supplements that I do take are all food-based. I believe our nourishment should come from our food and not from a pill. That said, I do understand that there are times when supplements are needed and I’m not against taking them. I just prefer to get the nutrients I need from food first, supplements second. Many vitamins you buy in the store are either synthetic or do not come in the neat little package that nature intended, leaving them hard to utilize by your body.

There are a couple of food-based supplements that I take daily. The first is my fermented cod liver oil from Green Pasture. This is a very high quality product and I highly recommend you check it out. The second is an antioxidant omega-3 greens blend from Tropical Traditions. I know that as hard as I try, there are many days where I simply can’t eat enough veggies, especially in the winter when my local farmers markets are closed, so this product helps me make up a little of what I’m not getting.

But now, I think I may have found another food-based supplement to add to my regime. It’s called Seven+ PROformance and it’s made by eXfuze. Recently, Stephanie from eXfuze sent me a bottle of this supplement to try and review and I’m very excited to share information about this product and its benefits in this post. In addition, you have a chance to win a bottle for yourself and take advantage of a special deal for my readers!

This juice blend combines seven of the world’s most powerful superfoods (Noni, Gac, Goji, Acai, Mangosteen, Seabuckthorn, and Fucoidan) to help deliver a powerful antioxidant punch to our cells. Other ingredients include pomegranate, wild blueberries, and aloe vera.

Most of us have probably never heard of many of those ingredients, so here’s a quick overview about each of the superfoods and what they do inside the body. Click here to view a larger version of the nutrition label.

Acai grows in Brazil and is packed with large amounts of Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C and E, as well as 16 antioxidants, photo-nutrients, and a near perfect amino acid complex. It supports immune function, promotes cardiovascular health, removes free radicals, and helps cell growth, better sleep quality, as well as providing vital brain nutrients and all around improved health.*

Fucoidan is a glyco-nutrient extracted from brown seaweed. This complex polysaccharide has been studied in over 766 clinical studies to date. Interestingly, it has a nutritional breakdown which closely resembles the nutrients in breast milk. A few of its benefits are helping with body detoxification, anti-inflammatory capabilities, immune system support and significant biological effects on mammalian cells*.

Goji berries are found in Tibet and Mongolia. It is possibly one of the greatest natural answers to anti-aging. Some of the world’s oldest people live in the Himylain mountains and credit their advanced age and health to a steady diet of Goji. The berries contains 19 Amino Acids, Beta Carotene, and 21 Trace Minerals, as well as Vitamins B, C & Complex E.

Seabuckthorn is found in the mountainous regions of China and Russia. It has long been called called “Nature’s Multi-Vitamin”. Its nutritional breakdown includes Vitamins C, K & E, Folic Acid, Carotenoids, and Omega Complexes 3, 6, 7 and 9. It also has high antioxidant levels and beneficial flavenoids. Seabuckthorn is known to have the following benefits: anti-aging, supports immune function, promotes cardiovascular health, anti-inflammatory, promotes healthy skin, improves all around health.*

GAC is a fruit found in South East Asia. GAC seeds have been used for thousands of years for a variety of internal and external medicinal purposes. It has 70 times more Lycopene than tomatoes and 10 times more Beta-Carotene than carrots. Studies have shown GAC helps provide vascular and cellular rejuvenation, promotes anti-aging and immune system support.*

Noni fruit is found in India, Malaysia, Southeast Asia and some Pacific Islands. It has been used for many centuries as a medicine in Hawaiian and Asian cultures. It is widely used by naturopathic and homeopathic practitioners. Noni’s nutrients include Beta-carotene, Calcium, all B Vitamins, Vitamin C, and trace minerals. It has been shown to have the following benefits: helps increases absorption, assimilation and utilization of vitamins, herbs and minerals, stimulates the immune system, regulates cell function and promotes healthy cell regeneration, and strong anti-inflammatory capabilities.*

Mangosteen is a fruit found in many tropical countries around the world. The Mangosteen fruit has a hard outer shell which is valued because of its rich concentrate of Xanthones. Xanthones have been shown to have benefits for cardiovascular health, hypertension and thrombosis. eXfuze powders and extracts the entire fruit as most of the nutrients are in the hard outer shell which are not easily available via typical concentration methods. It has a nutritional breakdown that includes antioxidants, fiber, potassium, calcium, Vitamins B1 & B2, Iron, Vitamin C and Vitamin B6, and it is loaded with Xanthones. It is known to have the following benefits: Anti-aging, anti-allergy, anti-fungal strengthening the immune system helping it to fight infections, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-microbial and pain inhibiting.*

Both my husband and I tried the Seven+ PRO and were quite pleased. We both noticed a boost of energy after taking it, but it wasn’t like we crashed later. It’s just the little boost you need to get going in the morning. It’s sweet and tangy, but not overpowering and has less than two grams of sugar per serving. I typically don’t like fruit juices, so I was skeptical, but this was quite pleasant. The blend tastes delicious and it is a perfect way to disguise our fermented cod liver oil (shhhhh…hubby doesn’t know I’ve been doing that to him. Hopefully he doesn’t read this post!). Also, we have both been able to avoid the colds that have been wandering around both of our offices, so I’m pretty sure it’s working!
